Y-VAMP began operations
in 1999 based on the experience of
its parent company, Paravision
International Inc. (a video
equipment rental house). We found that the available
equipment for the Video Assist Departments in
the film and television industry was not suitable
for the current rapidly evolving digital needs
of film production. The current systems are
not mobile and easy to use. Y-VAMP set out to
solve this problem by creating digital recording
and editing systems that are compact, transportable
and included key features required for specific
jobs.
We started with the DigiCombo,
a digital recorder that enables real time editing
and multiple speed playbacks. Next step was
to develop a recorder specifically for Video
Assist. The DigiClam
was born. Since then we have developed a set
of products (Matte
Generator, DigiCOP,
MaMa-Receiver,
and PaPa-Trnasmitter)
that bring the video recording and security
businesses to the new frontiers of digital and
wireless revolution
